Southwark Council Compelled to Repair Pilasters and Stuccowork

The PTRA is happy to report that a disrepair case taken to arbitration has been declared in resident’s favour.

The complaint demanded that Southwark Council take immediate action to repair the external stucco decorations of 56–192 Crampton Street; 1-96 Iliffe Street; 1-48 Peacock Street; and 1-56 Penton Place, which have not been decorated since 2007.

The arbitration panel has ordered that Southwark Council initiate a comprehensive maintenance and restoration plan for the work that should adhere to conservation guidelines and prioritise the safety and well-being of the residents.

The work will be complete prior to 16 June 2025.
