Post Negotiating for Residential Solar

Hi,

I've pretty much decided to get residential solar panels. I live in a hot, sunny location with high electrical rates and I have an electric car, so it seems like a good idea. I've gotten a couple quotes, one from Sunpower and one from another respected local broker. The quoted price was around $18,000 by each company, but Sunpower offers a better warranty (25 years on all components including inverters, not pro rated).
Couple questions:
1. I haven't done a huge amount of research on this. Is Sunpower considered reputable?
2. Should I try to negotiate the price down? I know if I was paying $18k for say a car, I would be trying to get as much off as possible. Does anyone have any idea how much I might be able to get off the solar sticker price? Any good negotiating phrases or other tips?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
